Since
the band took a break back in June to seek a new guitarist,
Bram Stoker, Rob Haines old band have reformed so he has now
sadly had to withdraw his commitment to Peachy Jane. Rob is
a fantastic drummer and we enjoyed our time working with him.
Steve Chapman also made a considerable contribution to the band
musically playing on our new single and gigging with us at some
of our most memorable gigs so far. We wish them both the best
of luck in their future musical endeavours.
Currently
we are auditoning bass players and now obviously seeking a drummer
to complete the line up. |

The Litten
Tree was awesome for our first gig together - the crowd were really
up for a good time. I lost my guitar pick at one point but retrieved
it in time to keep playing! The sound was good but they couldn't
figure out which mike was which on the guitars at first but they
fixed it in the end ;) Zoe Swartz did a great set and also Nick
Tathum did some awesome beat boxing. By the time we got off stage
the crowd had really livened up. They do great burgers at the
Litten Tree btw - tasty! |

Johanna
Stahr will
be supporting us on Sat April 10th at
The Winchester. Johanna is a locally based singer/songwriter
- visit
her myspace site here. This will be the first gig with our
new
line up and we are excited about how things are developing with
Jon and Rob. The Peachy sound has changed subtly from our previous
line up and it promises to be an exciting evening. We are working
hard at getting together a good number of popular cover songs
as well as working on our original material. We will be releasing
online a new song at the begining of March, which is a more
mellower sound than some of our other songs. The song is called
Drive Away the Dark and we hope to have it available for download
on iTunes and Napster soon along with some of our other songs.
We are
continuing to write new material and are adding new songs to
our reportoire quite regularly as well as new covers. We also
maybe recording a live album at some point over the summer although
this is to be confirmed.

Peachy
Jane would like to welcome Rob Haines as our new drummer
"Based
now in Southampton, but I grew up in the Bournemouth area. I
started playing in rock bands while still at school. At seventeen
I went on the road with a gothic-rock band called "Bram
Stoker". Various bands and projects followed, embracing
a wide variety of music, including jazz, funk, rock, pop, country
and disco music. For many years I toured Europe, Scandinavia,
Far East, Middle East and India in a hard-working covers band.
Travelling is another one of my passions - I have an adventurous
spirit and love to visit new places.
I
enjoy most styles of music. I like the melodic pop/rock and
harmonies of bands like The Eagles and Fleetwood Mac. I appreciate
the smooth jazz of George Benson and find Latin rhythms interesting.
However, a drum kit is not an instrument to be "tickled"
- it needs to be played. Rock music gives me that opportunity
to stretch out and have fun!" - Rob Haines

for all his excellent playing and support for the band. He was
great to play with and we had alot of fun along the way. We wish
him well in his future musical journey. |
